Last week I received a brochure about Nikon’s new D3X. I couldn’t afford it, but this doesn’t mean that piece of paper was totally useless for me. So I tried a macro. Here is the result:
Well, this doesn’t look like a piece of printed paper, but more like a textured material or wet skin, isn’t it?
P.S.: Can anyone help with Photoshop or something similar to get rid of those 2 scratches at the middle ?

Here are some of my experimental pictures taken at sunset from my place. I am just a beginner in photography, so don’t expect too much. I use a Nikon D40 body, Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 – 55mm f/3.5 – 5.6G ED and Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED lenses, and Hoya 52 mm PL-CIR, UV & Warm. I don’t have a tripod yet, but I am considering buying one.

If you run Ubuntu Hardy on your computer and it happens to have a Canon Pixma i1800/2500 Printer, it might be hard to find the right 32-bit Linux drivers for it.
Download them from these URLs.
Then install them in this order, just by double-clicking them:
http://www.mediafire.com/?jtmicwjyomg -> cnijfilter-common_2.70-3_i386.deb
http://www.mediafire.com/?mzr0rrmtyt3 -> cnijfilter-ip1800series_2.70-3_i386.deb
Then, start any browser and open http://localhost:631 to configure your printers.
